What is YogaBellies International?

YogaBellies® are a collective of women helping women through yoga, founded in the UK by Cheryl MacDonald and has now become an international phenomenon. YogaBellies is a unique style of yoga created exclusively for women, guiding them through each of the key life stages using yoga and community to offer love, support and well-being. Now due to popular demand, YogaBellies Licensed Teacher Training is now available internationally.

In the past five years, YogaBellies teachers have taught over 40,000 women in the UK and Europe alone. YogaBellies is loved by celebrities including Kimberley Walsh (Girls Aloud) and Fearne Cotton and has received extensive media attention. YogaBellies has appeared on TV (BBC’s Dragons’ Den and ITV’s This Morning) and in publications such as HELLO, OK!, OM Yoga Magazine, MindBodyGreen, Womens’ Health Huffington Post and many, many more. Now due to popular demand, YogaBellies Teacher Training and ethical business packages are available internationally.

What can I expect from YogaBellies?

YogaBellies International offers women the opportunity to set up and run their own successful yet ethical YogaBellies business in your local area. Our successful franchise package has seen over 100 women in the UK successfully launch and grow their own YogaBellies business, making their dreams of giving something back and being able to focus on their family, a reality. Now women across the world can join them by training under our international YogaBellies teacher model!

You can choose to undertake our stand alone live teacher training with YogaBellies, which provides a basic training only. You can’t teach as a YogaBellies teacher but won’t get our licensed benefits. If you choose our licensed training package, we provide you with a complete package to teach and market your own YogaBellies classes, creating your own community of YogaBellies women in your country.

How can I train with YogaBellies International?

We are currently offering:

 YogaBellies Teacher Training in Singapore in November 2018

Withour international training options, you can choose to train with YogaBellies and then:

 Become a licensed YogaBellies teacher (ask for the monthly fee in your country) or;
 Simply undertake the training, for your own personal knowledge, or as part of your yoga journey, or to teach under your own brand or yoga school name.

The training course is exactly the same whichever path you choose, it’s the after support and use of the brand that differs. You can take your time to choose and if you decide you wish to become a licensed teacher at a later date, that’s okay too.

What if I want to teach in the UK?

The UK is the home base for YogaBellies International and we run a slightly different model there. If you are based in the UK, please refer to our UK franchise training information or contact teachers@yogabellies.co.uk to find out more.
If you are outside of the UK, you can apply to undertake our International YogaBellies Training or IYT.
If you undertake international training and then move to the UK or want to teach as a YogaBellies Teacher in the UK, you would have to purchase a franchise territory and convert to our franchised model.

Can I train with YogaBellies online?

You can’t currently complete all of your training online, but we do offer access to our YTTA YogaBellies Teacher Training Academy online when join our licensed teacher programme.

You will be given access to our online YogaBellies Learning Academy where you will have access to everything you need to complete your qualification, start up and run a YogaBellies business and more. This includes audio slide tutorials, practice videos, articles, class plans, hand-outs and course books to help you learn and then to teach your classes.

What type of classes does YogaBellies International offer?

YogaBellies yoga practice embraces what it is to be a woman and the feminine aspects of our mind and body with love and acceptance through every stage of life – through the life phases of maiden (menstruation), mother (pregnancy and post-partum) and crone (menopause.) The belly is home to our body centered wisdom – our gut knowing, our female instinct for self-preservation. At YogaBellies, you don’t need to have a flat tummy to enjoy our style of yoga, we encourage women to embrace their natural curves and to love everything about themselves that is strong, feminine, sensitive and aware. All women are welcome at YogaBellies regardless of age, size or shape: we are a community of women supporting women.

YogaBellies classes incorporate traditional yoga asanas (postures;) self-hypnosis and deep relaxation; unique YogaBellies® touch therapies for mother and baby and positive life building experiences. Our classes are female only as we believe that yoga for women has many female specific therapeutic benefits. Our ladies only environment means that everyone can relax, move and speak freely.

YogaBellies classes are entirely unique and our bespoke formula means that 86% of our class attendees have never set foot in a yoga class before. We make sure our classes are non-scary, non-threatening, welcoming and open to all levels of practitioner. We believe that yoga is accessible to everyone.

Do I have to be a yoga teacher to get involved?

No you don’t! YogaBellies Internatational accept applications to train from the following groups:
Yoga teachers, pilates teachers, fitness professionals, midwives, doulas, personal trainers and those people with 2 years plus yoga practice.

If you want to become a YogaBellies teacher, we provide all of the training that you need you become accredited, insurable and confident to teach YogaBellies classes in your local area.

If you are unsure about your level of yoga practice or experience, get in touch and we can discuss where you are at and what kind of practice commitment you will need to get up to speed. At YogaBellies, we believe that ANYONE can learn the physical side of yoga, the most important thing for us not that you can wrap your legs around your head, but that you live and believe in our vision of women supporting women.

What is included in the International YogaBellies Teacher Licensed Package?

If you decide to join the International YogaBellies family with our licensed training package, you will receive a complete business and licence package to help you launch your own YogaBellies business.

This means that you can legally use the name YogaBellies, our pre-written class plans, have your own searchable page on our website and editable marketing materials to market your classes in your area. You will have access to our incredible global YogaBellies intranet of teachers for peer support, discounts on YogaBellies clothing and further training. So in addition to your world-class YogaBellies teacher training, the brand in itself helps to promote your work and give you a head start.

From a promotional perspective, you don’t have to think about building up a brand: We’ve done that for you already. We even provide all of the marketing, accounting and business tools that you need, which means that you can focus on what’s important: Teaching Yoga!

Your YogaBellies Business Goddess Training is included when you become a licensed teacher too which includes business plans and templates to get you started and can be completed from home!

You pay a minimal monthly licence fee to enjoy all of these benefits and there is no obligation to renew. Please note that the first 12 months licence fee is due at once then monthly thereafter.

Monthly licence fee for Singapore teachers is S$49 (first 12 months due on sign up.)
